Welcome to Lisa D. Designs Decorating Den Interiors!

Interior Decorating should be fun. We love working with clients to help them make their homes and lives more beautiful.

About Lisa, Principle Designer

With over 38 years of experience, I provide personalized design services that reflect my clients’ unique tastes and lifestyles. I take pride in selecting exclusive products tailored to each home, ensuring it stands out with a distinctive, custom look—not one found in every store around town.

I love learning how my clients live in their spaces, so I can create environments that are both comfortable and impressive for family and friends. Together, we’ll discuss your budget to design a plan that works for you, at your pace, and within your investment level.

Throughout my career, I’ve earned top honors from Decorating Den, including Positive Thinkers Award, Regional Director of the Year, and the Making a Difference Award. My designs have been recognized with Dream Room Design awards and featured in various publications. I’m also proud to be a member of Decorating Den Interiors’ Lifetime Century Society, Premier Club, President’s Club, and recipient of the Director’s Award.

As a Sussex County resident for over 40 years, I raised my daughter here and enjoy spending time with my blended family, including five grandchildren. Outside of work, I also volunteer as the Treasurer on my community HOA board, where my experience is greatly valued.

If you’re seeking a designer who listens to your needs, works within your budget, and brings your vision to life, I’d love to help make your decorating experience enjoyable and stress-free. Give me a call—I look forward to working with you!

About Cheryl, Senior Designer

Cheryl Smith has been servicing Morris and Northern Somerset Counties since 1995. Cheryl has been honored to receive numerous awards, including First Runner-Up, Decorator of the Year, and the Positive Thinker Award. Her work has been published in various magazines, featured on HGTV, in the 2008 Dream Room Calendar, and published in Decorating… The Professional Touch, by Carol Donayre Bugg.

I’m proud to offer a complete, in-home interior decorating service, bringing samples of fabrics, furniture, carpets, area rugs, wall coverings, and accessories directly to you. We’ll work together to coordinate colors and fabrics with your existing furnishings, all in the comfort and lighting of your own home or office. My clients especially enjoy the convenience of choosing products without worrying about design fees. I focus on working within your investment level and style preferences, with you only paying for the products you select.

Raised in Morris County, my husband and I also raised our two sons there, and now, I’m the proud grandmother of two grandsons and a granddaughter (the first girl in the family in years, and she won’t be spoiled!). We recently moved to Hackettstown, NJ, to be closer to all three grandchildren, and it’s been wonderful.

Throughout my career, I’ve received numerous awards, including First Runner Up, Decorator of the Year, and the Positive Thinker Award. My work has been featured in magazines, on HGTV, in the 2008 Dream Room Calendar, and in Decorating… The Professional Touch by Carol Donayre Bugg. I’m also proud to be a member of Decorating Den Interiors’ Lifetime Century Society, Premier Club, and President’s Club, as well as a recipient of the Director’s Award. I hold the Decorating Den Certified Decorator (DDCD) designation, which is a source of great pride. For four years, I served on the Decorating Den Leadership Council, two as Chairwoman and then as Past-President.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about giving back to my community. I’ve actively supported the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the local First Aid Squad, and various local charities. I also served for 22 years as a member of the Chatham Area Chamber of Commerce, where I was Past President and chaired several committees. You might have seen me directing the Children’s Events at Fishawack! Now, I’m a proud member of the high school marching band and color guard’s grandparents’ cheering section.

If you’re looking for a designer who listens to you, works within your budget, and creates a space that fits your lifestyle, I’d love to make your decorating experience enjoyable and fun. Give me a call—I look forward to working with you!
